3. High Quality CAD-CAM Foot Orthoses. - These are made using computer aided design to your prescription and provide a  highly accurate prescription. They have excellent durability and should last for many years. There is a standard 12 month guarantee on the shells. they are excellent value for money due to their durability and accuracy.

The process:

The Podiatrist writes a prescription based on the podiatric biomechanical assessment.

Computer Aided Design (CAD) produces a 3D image of your foot orthoses to the prescription provided by the Podiatrist.

The final computer image before manufacturing begins.

Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) is the last stage which produces a highly accurate prescription.   A computer numerically controlled (CNC) machining centre makes your orthoses which  is capable of maintaining a high degree of accuracy whilst cutting at extremely fast feed rates.

1. Standard Orthoses - £135. These are made to dimensions from your foot scan.

2. Casted Fit Orthoses - £165. These are made from casts or 3D digital Laser scan of your feet.

4. Silicone (medical grade) Heel Cups. - These heel pads have been shown to reduce the damaging forces acting on the heel during walking / standing on hard surfaces by up to 50%.

Transparent Pricing Policy:
The orthotic prices above  include (with certain orthoses) a prescription writing charge, administration charges and postage charges to and from manufacturers (Where necessary). It is my policy to be open and transparent regarding this so that patients are aware what they are paying for. Hence the extra pence stated on the pricing!

 

*The lifetime of your foot orthoses depends on various factors including:

 Your activity levels, Your skin type  / moisture rating, The mechanics of your foot / feet, How you look after the orthoses themselves e.g. not overzealous cleaning. If you keep your orthoses away form high temperatures e.g. above 50 degrees Celsius for prolonged periods.  


Foot orthoses are normally issued within 1 week of assessment date, however, this may vary between individuals.
